Presidential Relations

As if the tight polls aren't enough excitement, we're looking at the possibility of MA vs. TX in the World Series, with game seven (if necessary) being played two days before the election. Fortunately for Kerry, MA is in incredibly blue state. So even if everyone in the whole state is drunk off their ass and they neglect to vote, he'll probably still win.

In other news, Bush and Kerry are distant cousins. As interesting as that is, I'm more interested in the names right in the middle of the Bush lineage. Gallup? Hm. That might help explain the skewed numbers Gallup always releases.

Not that polls count for much, anyway. They're a pretty good indicator, within 10 points or so. In other words, in this election, they're completely useless.

  • I think the sun and hurricanes are getting to you Jerome. I quote myself from an e-mail two weeks ago about a friend who met with a man convinced he was being systematically destroyed by my friend and the rest of the world.

"I would like to see an actual "wide-based conspiracy to destroy someone." It would help future evaluation of said theories. Like with David and Bathsheba, there's a conspiracy but very poorly planned, reactionary and didn't work out real well for anyone. Until I see one of these theories played out historically, or otherwise plausible and actual, I will disregard and mock those who start them. Unless of course they are creepy. That is when you stare blankly, nod and notify the others of the Brotherhood through secret electronic telepathy that the victim is on to you."

Nuf said. Politics are more and more pathetic sound bites. How is it possible that we can have so many intelligent and well educated people in one room together and they can't possibly figure out that we are trapped in a winless war, losing all credibility in a international level and inept and grossly negligent in domestic policy and change. That's not partisan because Clinton didn't do jack shit either, he just had a nice healthy tech boom to ride. My suggestion to the three branches of government, Do something. Then and only then can I participate in the process. There's nothing to be for or against. Even Kerry and Bush are so focused on "don't vote for him" as a strategy that any blowhard "What I'll do when I'm in office" rhetoric is totally lost.

My names Mike and I'm a disinchanted voter who can't with good conscience vote for someone as pathetic as Raplph Nader. Help me.

  • I reiterate my call for a Monarchy. We could determine it by a huge match of king of the hill, gather all the smart people in the US and let them wrestle for days until someone takes the mound.
